If you purchased a home in 2015, please remember to submit your Homestead Exemption application between January 1, 2016 and April 30, 2016.  

Homeowners will save an average of between $400 & $500 per year of field and is based on the school board in your district associated with your home.

To be eligible for the Homestead Exemption owners of the residency must have taken occupancy by January 1st of 2016

Also, before you can apply, your driver’s license has to match the residence associated with the house that you are filing for.

Don’t wait to wait till the last minute to file due to processing to make sure you don’t miss your chance to be exempt
