Community Report from the Woodlands Villager
THE WOODLANDS — The Howard Hughes Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiary The Woodlands Development Company, today announced that Texas BMB Investments, LLC has signed a 1,549-square-foot lease for The Cheese Course in The Waterway Square District of The Woodlands Town Center.
The Cheese Course, a European-style cheese shop and fast-casual bistro, will be located at 1501 Lake Robbins Drive in The Waterway Square parking garage between BurgerFi and Fiat. Construction is expected to begin this month with a mid- to late-July opening. This is the first location in Texas for The Cheese Course and only the second one outside of Florida where the concept originated.
“We are excited that The Cheese Course will make its debut into Texas at The Woodlands Waterway Square,” said Alex Sutton, Co-President of The Woodlands Development Company. “The Woodlands Waterway Square District is an ideal location for the bistro and cheese market, encompassing Class A office space, retail, residential and entertainment.”
The Cheese Course will offer over 150 artisanal cheeses imported from dairy farms all over the world. The shop will also serve sandwiches, quiches, salads and soups paired with wines and beers. The Cheese Course will be open daily from 11a.m. to 11 p.m.
“We believe that The Woodlands Waterway Square will be a perfect launching pad for our stores throughout Texas. It provides, in our opinion, the perfect mix of business, residential and entertainment traffic to which our concept is oriented,” said Gabor Márquez-Stefani, member of Texas BMB Investments, LLC, area developer for The Cheese Course. “We feel that we will fit perfectly within the area, and this will be our flagship store.” Within a five-year period, The Cheese Course will open 12 stores throughout Houston, Dallas and Austin.
